Drinks

Our approach is simple: recreating historic and forgotten styles of beer from around the world tapping into ancient brewing processes, ingredients, and recipes. We want to stay true to the styles of brews our ancestors would have consumed, whether that be beer, cider, or mead, in an effort to preserve what history created.

BEER

Unite: Together is Better

Brewed in collaboration with Barley’s Angels GR for International Women’s Day 2026, Unite is more than just a beer. Barley’s Angels exists to educate and involve women in the brewery industry. To further this commitment, Archival is donating $1 from every pour to Treetops Collective, supporting immigrant and refugee women and teen girls in our community. United has notes of oak aging with a mild maltiness and medium body. Becher

Spot Hop

Brewed originally in the early 2000’s by John Kimmich and Greg Noonan of The Alchemist, the New England IPA was a game changer for hoppy beers setting a trend that has yet to die down. Spot hop refers to the purchase of hops on the spot directly from growers. In this case, we bought Chinook, Wakatu, Rakau hops from Hop Alliance in northern Michigan, lending a super juicy flavor profile to our first ever NEIPA. Becher

Batch 300

In the early 1800s, Napoleon created a continental blockade between England and the Baltic States, blocking imports including English Porters. Craving a rich and malty beer, Poland and Russia, amongst other states, started crafting their own versions, utilizing their regional chilly temps to bottom ferment, or lager, their porters. Our 300th Batch is a rich bodied beer with roasted maltiness, notes of dried fruit, and slight bitter finish. Snifter

Cashmere SMASH

The latest in our SMASH (Single Hop And Single Malt) series, Cashmere SMASH features a little known hop created as a cross between Northern Brewer & Cascade hops. Smooth bitterness with notes of citrus, melon, and stone fruit. Becher

Midwest Extra

A newer style originating in 1986 in Minneapolis, Extra Pale Ale was the first ever beer brewed at Summit Brewing and a verified staple for midwest beer drinkers. Medium body with notes of tropical fruit and grapefruit. (Extra) high ABV for this extra pale ale. Becher

Beerkowski

Revived by Spike Buckowski, co-owner of Terrapin Brewing out of Athens, Georgia in an attempt to resurrect bold beers in the midst of the American craft beer boom. Beerkowski is smooth, hoppy, and full of roasted rye flavor. Becher

Brook St

The original Hodgson Bitter Ale was brewed on Surrey, England’s Brook Street in 1886. In following that recipe, this IPA features Fuggle hops with Brettanomyces for a touch of sour, notes of vanilla, and an addition of oak chips to mimic barrel aging. English Pub

BIERKATZE

Named after our dear friend, Linus, honoring his love for cats and for being one cool beer cat. Originally brewed for our 2 Year Anniversary collaboration, we hold Linus and our memories with him in the highest regards as he moves on to bigger and better adventures. Smooth maltiness with a hint of bitterness and clean finish. Becher + Lukr

MURPHY MAC

Diverging from its English Porter cousin, the Irish Stout came about after an Irishmen in 1817 invented a malt roaster that could produce darker roasts without any smoky bitterness. Packing a punch, Murphy Mac pays homage to Irish engineering and is named after the hotheaded McManus twin of Boondock fame. Showcasing dark, roasted malts, this medium-bodied ale has a lingering finish of dark malts and English yeast esters.

CONNOR MAC

In its more modern form, the Irish Red originated in Kilkenny around 1710 with malt having more importance than hops. As tribute to the more gingerly, rational McManus twin, Connor Mac is a subtler brew with caramel and biscuit notes, a light, malty body, smooth mouthfeel, and clean, crisp finish. English Pub

JAMES’S GATE

Originally brewed at Guinness’ St. James’s Gate brewery in Dublin, the Foreign Extra Stout was made for Irish expats working in the Caribbean, made with extra hops and a higher alcohol content to help preserve the beer on its long journey overseas. James’s Gate is a medium bodied stout with pronounced roasted malt notes and a lingering finish. English Pub

THE DUKE SAYS NEIN

The Duke of Bavaria was ultimately the reason for the Reinheitsgebot, otherwise known as the German Purity Law, effectively putting out of production brews such as the Kottbusser. Brewed with the traditional wheat, oats, honey, and molasses, The Duke Says Nein is a gold medal award-winning clean ale with Kölsch yeast. Light and refreshing. Tulip On draft and in cans!

CLOUD PIERCER

Inspired by the Māori name for New Zealand’s highest mountain, Aoraki Mt. Cook, this lager is brewed with New Zealand hops emitting tropical flavors and aromas. Crisp, clean, mild hop bitterness. Becher On draft and in cans!

FRITZ’S FOLLY

Named after West Coast IPA’s creator Fritz Maytag, Fritz’s Folly is brewed and dry hopped with traditional Cascade hops for bittering and aroma with a medium-bodied malt profile. Becher On draft and in cans!

ÆGIR’S WREATH

Finnish farmhouse ale made with fresh juniper berries. Zero hop additions alongside a clean grain bill of rye and barley malts, using double decoction brewing method. Light, easy drinking. World Beer Cup 2025 Silver Medalist for Historical Beer  Sahti + WBC Silver On draft and in cans!

KRÄNZ KÖLSCH

Kränz (meaning wreath) references the picturesque tray of Kölsch-filled stange glasses served at brewhouses in Cologne, Germany. This light ale, nicely balanced with malts and hops, is a favorite here at Archival. Served in a traditional stange glass. Stange On draft and in cans!

JACK’S PAL AL

An ode to Archival’s true MVP and a real ‘Jack of All Trades’, this pale ale has a mild hop bitterness crafted with Newport and Golding hops. Low maltiness with a traditional mix of pale English base malts. English Pub
